The system provides un-paralleled software expandability for a total user capacity of 1xDS3 +16T1/E1+77Mbps Ethernet in a single system!  Integrated Monitored Hot Standby (MHS) protection provides added reliability for hard to access locations. And, ExaltSync™ provides un-matched internal or external synchronization capability for high-density collocation and spectrum reuse.

TDM capacity may be conveniently expanded in groups of four ports and/or 1xDS3 via software upgrade option. Ethernet capacity may also
be expanded independently, providing ultimate flexibility for TDM to IP migration.

Together with the Exalt Capacity Expansion kit the EX-5i-DS3 is a perfect complement to 6GHz part 101 links in need of additional DS3, nxT1, or high speed Ethernet.
