EX-5r and EX-5r-c                                                                                     200Mbps + 4xT1/E1 Tri-band Wireless Ethernet Bridge

The EX-5r and EX-5r-c wireless Ethernet bridges from Exalt Communications are the only tri-band 5GHz carrier-class wireless bridges available today. These all-outdoor systems operate in the 5.25-5.35 GHz, 5.4-5.725 GHz, and 5.725-5.850 GHz bands, and deliver up to 200Mbps of sustained user capacity and up to 4xT1/E1 in a software-configurable, carrier class system with high spectral efficiency, security and unprecedented spectrum management flexibility.

The system is available with internally switched, dual polarized integrated antenna (EX-5r), or type-N female connectors (EX-5r-c) for flexible external antenna mounting.

Along with the exceptional Ethernet capacity, the EX-5r and EX-5r-c provide up to four T1/E1 to enable PBX or trunk line interconnectivity and a seamless migration path from TDM to native IP-based services.  In addition, the systems support SNMPv3 for the latest in secure network management support.

For critical collocation applications and maximum spectrum reuse, the outdoor wireless Ethernet bridges from Exalt support ExaltSync™ GPS synchronization. And, to ensure the highest level of security, Exalt provides proprietary link security and AES encryption for the most demanding applications.

Exalt’s breakthrough spectrum-management technology provides up to 54 non-overlapping frequency channels, with 1 MHz fine tuning capability across the three 5GHz bands. This results in as many as 415 center frequencies of operation to choose from without new hardware or system re-tuning. As an additional interference countermeasure, the EX-5r and EX-5r-c provide 8, 16, and 32 MHz channel bandwidths and synchronization to help maximize band usability and throughput. To support TDM to IP service migration strategies, the EX-5r and EX-5r-c provide a smooth upgrade path to higher T1/E1 capacities and Ethernet services. All this, while providing the lowest cost per megabit-mile of in its class.
